India’s semiconductor journey is advancing into Semicon 2.0, evolving from building a foundation in fabs, ATMP, and design to now accelerating capabilities in equipment manufacturing, advanced materials, and display technologies. At NAMTECH, we are committed to strengthening this next phase of India’s semiconductor ecosystem through talent development, capability building, and strategic industry collaboration.
We were pleased to host senior leaders from DISCO Hi-Tec India Pvt. Ltd., the India entity of DISCO Corporation, a global leader in precision semiconductor processing technologies across cutting, grinding, and polishing. Mr. Toshifumi Miyatake, General Manager, and Mr. Pramod Kishore, Engineering Manager, visited our campus and explored collaborative opportunities to support the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), a nationwide initiative aimed at building a strong semiconductor and display manufacturing ecosystem in India and positioning the country as a global hub for electronics manufacturing and design. The discussions also focused on aligning with Gujarat’s vision through the Gujarat State Electronics Mission (GSEM) and the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat, strengthening regional capabilities and innovation in semiconductor technologies.
The visit was an excellent opportunity to discuss potential synergies, and we are excited to work together to empower India’s semiconductor future.
