The Letter of Intent (LoI) has been given to NAMTECH by the Government of India for its setting up as a Deemed-to-be University under the Distinct Category. NAMTECH is being placed among the few institutions in the country that are given the responsibility of molding the new educational ways, skills development, and industry-aligned learning.
NAMTECH has been firmly positioning itself to contribute to the transformation of the education system model through industry-integrated education over the last several years. The institution has created a model that is in line with the future workforce requirements by linking academic learning with practical challenges, promoting applied research, and strengthening ties with local and international partners. This LoI is seen as a reaffirmation of the institution’s approach and an indication of the increasing importance of NAMTECH’s role in providing a skilled and innovation-driven talent pool.
The honour is also a source of added responsibility for the institution. It is a source of energy and determination that makes NAMTECH to proceed with deeper commitment and clarity as a university that is envisaged to be globally benchmarked, industry connected, and innovation led. NAMTECH will focus on intensifying its cooperation with industry, expanding its academic and research capabilities, and pursuing impactful activities in the manufacturing ecosystem, among other things, in the upcoming years.
NAMTECH with its renewed determination will continue to defy limits, prepare future-ready professionals, and be a part of India’s sustainable technological and manufacturing growth. To move ahead in this direction, a two-year full-time residential master programmes in smart manufacturing, manufacturing design and AI, automotive, robotics and sustainability has been started by NAMTECH.
