NAMTECH is proud to be associated with the implementation of two landmark MoUs signed between the Government of Andhra Pradesh and AM/NS India. The MoUs seek to build a future-ready industrial talent ecosystem in Andhra Pradesh by connecting advanced technology, materials innovation, education, and workforce development with the needs of modern industries, specifically focus on:
- Skilling & Workforce Development – impacting 50,000 professionals over 5 years through industry-aligned training, faculty capability building, and experiential learning
- Engineering & Materials Innovation – establishing a Centre of Excellence to advance capabilities in sustainable, high-performance, and digitally enabled materials
These landmark MOUs were signed on March 23, 2026, at the groundbreaking ceremony of the AM/NS India integrated steel plant at Rajayyapeta, which was presided over by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu and Hon’ble Union Minister of Steel & Heavy Industries, Shri H.D. Kumaraswamy. The plant represents a ₹1.36 lakh crore investment set to create ~1 lakh jobs and transform the region’s industrial landscape.
These MoUs signal a clear shift from standalone projects to platform-led industrial development – bringing together industry, academia, and government to drive scale, innovation, and execution. They also stand as a testament to the Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET) ecosystem that NAMTECH is building to create a future-ready talent pipeline and advance India’s vision of #ViksitBharat@2047.
