NAMTECH, in collaboration with the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe), hosted the five-day Skill Development Program on “SAR Data Analysis and Applications” from July 6–10, 2026, at the NAMTECH campus, Research Park, IIT Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
The program is part of IN-SPACe’s national initiative to build future-ready talent for India’s growing space ecosystem, aligned with the Government of India’s vision of increasing private sector participation in the space sector. As part of this initiative, IN-SPACe has developed 14 short-term skill development programs for academia and Non-Government Entities (NGEs). The SAR Data Analysis and Applications program is one of these programs, equipping participants with practical knowledge of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) data analysis and its real-world applications.
The SAR Data Analysis and Applications inaugural session featured Shri. Tapan Misra, Former Director, SAC, ISRO; Founder, Sisir Radar, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Deb Jyoti Pal, Senior Vice President, GalaxEye as the Special Guest. Dr. Ibrahim Hafeezur Rehman, Director General, NAMTECH, delivered the welcome address, reaffirming NAMTECH’s commitment to developing future-ready talent through industry and institutional collaborations in emerging technologies.
