Dr. K. C. Vora has joined NAMTECH at Ahmedabad as Program Director, School of Automotive.
Dr Vora started his career in 1985 at WalchandNagar Industries at Satara. He was responsible for introduction of Emitec’s Metallic Catalytic Converter in India and also worked on Scorpio Project in Mahindra & Mahindra. He chairs ASDC Expert Group for Electric Vehicles.
Dr Vora has superannuated from ARAI in 2021 as Sr Dy Director & Head of ARAI Academy. Besides Professor Emeritus at COEP, he took an additional responsibility of COEP’s TBI, Bhau Institute as CEO for couple of years. He was Professor of Practice at Raisoni College, Chitkara University & B V Raju Institute of Technology and consulted many Educational Institutes in strategy & diverse operations.
Dr Vora is an active member of SAEINDIA and SAE International and also a recipient of GURU Award from SAEINDIA Foundation for his contributions to the students of India. Besides initiating and taking care of educational initiatives of ARAI for 17 years, he conducts BAJA SAEINDIA from last 18 years, a premier national-level automotive engineering competition that challenges students to design, build and validate a robust, all-terrain vehicle (ATV), cultivating industry-ready skills and providing a real-world, hands-on experience, through Out-of-classroom education.
He has completed his B E Mechanical Engineering from BVM, Masters in Automotive Engineering from VJTI and Ph.D. from IIT-Bombay.
He has a vast industrial & academic experience of 40 years.
He has 120 Technical Papers, 4 books & 4 patents to his credit.
