Debjani Ghosh is a trailblazer in India’s technology and innovation landscape. She currently serves as a Distinguished Fellow at NITI Aayog and is the Chief Architect of the NITI Frontier Tech Hub—India’s first think tank focused on advancing frontier technologies for economic growth and societal impact.
With more than 28 years of leadership experience, including pivotal roles at Intel and as the first woman President of NASSCOM, Debjani has been instrumental in establishing India as a global hub for innovation, talent, and digital transformation.
At NASSCOM (2018–2024), she redefined the organisation’s vision by championing frontier technologies, building deep tech ecosystems, and driving human-centric innovation. Her rallying call, “Think Digital. Think India,” helped transform India’s global image from an outsourcing hub to a powerhouse of innovation. One notable initiative was her pioneering of the “Techade” concept—a vision of a decade marked by transformative technology reshaping industries, governance, and daily life.
A strong advocate for responsible innovation, Debjani believes technology is most powerful when it drives inclusive and sustainable growth. She focuses on building trust, nurturing digital talent, promoting people-first innovation, and ensuring organizations remain agile and resilient in a rapidly changing world.
Debjani’s achievements have earned her global recognition, including being honoured by the President of India in 2018 as a pioneer among the nation’s “First Ladies.” She was named Vogue’s Tech Leader of the Year in 2020, featured in FemaleOneZero’s “40 over 40 – World’s Most Inspiring Women” in 2022, and listed among the 100 Most Influential in UK-India Relations.
She currently serves on the boards of Karmayogi Bharat and the RBI Innovation Hub, further strengthening her impact at the intersection of governance, technology, and social good.
