
Dr. Mohit Pandey
Dr. Mohit Pandey is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Smart Manufacturing at NAMTECH (New Age Makers Institute of Technology). An expert in Chemical Engineering and Design for smart manufacturing, his research pioneers advanced surface and interface engineering, nanotechnology, energy storage devices, paper microfluidics, biomedical engineering, wearable technology, medical systems, and healthcare entrepreneurship.
He holds a Ph.D. in Design and B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. His doctoral thesis revolutionized surface-driven solutions for biomedical and industrial applications through innovative sulfonation, laser treatment, and plasma functionalization techniques.
Dr. Pandey is a recipient of the prestigious 18 month long, full time residential School of International Biodesign – Synergizing Healthcare Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SIB SHInE) fellowship program sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India, jointly initiated by IIT Kanpur and King George’s Medical University (KGMU) Lucknow. During this tenure as a Bio-design fellow, he underwent clinical immersion of 4+ months in more than 30 departments at KGMU for identifying critically unmet needs and problems in and around the current Indian Medical Technology and Indian healthcare ecosystem. He advanced lab-to-market ties via Indo-German Innovators Connect Tandem 2025 and served as Design Mentor and Jury alongside doctors and experts at the MHRD-led Smart India Hackathon.
Beyond academia, he honed industry acumen as Technical Analyst at Treacle Technologies Pvt. Ltd., empowering CXOs with streamlined operations and growth strategies. With numerous peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, filed patents, and impactful talks/posters at global forums, Dr. Pandey exemplifies academic excellence.
