Umangi Mehta is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering at IIT Bombay, specializing in air quality management, dust resuspension, and industrial emission control. She holds a M.Tech. in Environmental Engineering with a Gold Medal from PDEU and has graduation (B.E.) in Civil engineering. She is also an Accredited Professional of the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC AP), demonstrating her commitment to sustainable and green practices. Her research expertise spans fugitive dust emissions, particulate matter characterization, CFD-based dust resuspension modelling, emission inventory development, and source apportionment. She has contributed to national-scale air quality projects, including source apportionment for 22 Indian cities across India in collaboration with IIT Bombay and NEERI. Her work also extends to consultancy in environmental impact assessments, dust mitigation studies for industrial sites, and urban pollution scenarios. Umangi has authored peer-reviewed journal articles, presented research at international conferences and has received SERB international travel grants and recognition for her research contributions. Her passion lies in bridging research and industry by developing practical, sustainable solutions for Environmental management.
